The Denali preparation course currently underway plans to head up to Camp Muir today. The weather has been overcast with snow showers, and more of the same is predicted through the rest of the week. The forecast should allow the group to get in lots of important skills training for Denali. The group checked in yesterday and everyone is doing well.

Denali Preparation Course in full swing
On Saturday, Jonathon Spitzer, Phil Marino, and Danny Ozment met 7 Denali preparation course participants at the Seattle office. After a thorough gear check, the group drove down to Mt. Rainier and started their snow shoe in from the Paradise parking lot. The group learned about rigging and pulling sleds, as is done on Alpine Ascents Denali expeditions, and made the hike up to Panorama Point for their first night.
