Tucked in tight at high camp!
Howdy everyone!
We are all doing great, just getting tucked into our sleeping bags and preparing to get some sleep before our summit bid!
We will be getting up in a few hours to head to the summit. The weather couldn't be better and we've got a great group.
Ben and the gang.

I spy............Mt. Rainier!
We started out with foggy skies, but as we ascended higher on the flanks of Mt Rainier we knew we were in for a treat! We are the last trip of the season here on Rainier for AAI and the weather couldn't be better! Today we will teach some mountaineering skills and then move up to high camp.
We'll let you know how tonight's summit attempt goes!

All smiles.
They look so happy, don't they? This would be type 1 fun. Descending the Disappointment Cleaver, type 2.

Snacks At The Flats!
The weather has improved dramatically, allowing the whole team to reach high camp in good style. We are currently hanging out, enjoying some snacks, and preparing for our summit attempt early tomorrow morning.
Smoked out!
High winds yesterday blew in a thick layer of smoke from the eastern Washington wildfires. Despite the smell of campfire and 1 mile visibility, moral is high and the whole team is preparing to move to high camp!

Beat the weather
just .10 to the summit. Cold and windy but some great views and a fun group of climbers. We are all safely back at camp Muir and about to continue our descent in less than ideal conditions but it is what it is. Stu
